作曲、電子音響デザイン。作品は有機的で流動的、繊細な音響を特徴とする。東京音楽大学、東京藝術大学大学院、パリ国立高等音楽院（CNSMDP）第一課程、第二課程の作曲専攻を経て2019年度フランス国立音響音楽研究所（IRCAM）作曲研究員。第29回現音作曲新人賞富樫賞受賞（2012）。第82回日本音楽コンクール入選（2013）。仏BabelScoresより作品の一部が出版されている。DICT Agency所属。
在仏時より器楽と電子音響のために書かれた作品における電子音響パートの演奏活動を開始。これまでに約130の器楽と電子音響のための作品の演奏に携わる。
SPAC-E、kasane、Metamor、プラットフォーム各メンバー。 洗足学園音楽大学、ヤマハマスタークラス講師。

Ko Sahara is a Composer and Computer Music Designer based in Japan.
His works characterized by its delicacy and fluidity. Its foundation is principally made up of restricted ideas and delicate instrumental technic. In 2019-2020, he took part in the IRCAM Cursus program for composition and computer music, after studying at the Tokyo College of the Music, Tokyo University of the Arts and Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.
As Computer Music Designer, Ko Sahara plays the over 130 works for instrument(s) with electronics in Asia and Europe. Member of Ensemble SPAC-E, Ensemble kasane, Ensemble Metamor and Ensemble Platform
